Loose Women's Andrea McLean 'breaks TV rules' in outfit for final show

Andrea McLean threw caution to the wind as she hosted her last Loose Women show.

The ITV presenter announced her decision to leave the chat show last month after 13 years.

And Andrea looked ready to celebrate the emotional occasion in a stunning deep red off-the-shoulder dress, featuring a fitted waist and long sleeves.

But the 51-year-old admitted that she had "broken the rules" as shoulders are apparently "banned" on daytime TV.

The confession came after a discussion over the phrase "mutton dressed as lamb," with Andrea insisting she didn't care what people thought of her outfit choice today.

"The Andrea sat here now is a feisty individual," co-star Janet Street-Porter exclaimed.

Andrea claimed she had broken the daytime TV rules (ITV)

To which Andrea nodded and replied: "Literally got my shoulders out, even though I'm not technically allowed because it's day time TV."

It was a tearful show as Andrea was given gifts and surprise messages from fellow ITV stars and Loose Women.

The show ended with a special performance of My Girl from Brenda Edwards.

Andrea announced her departure in November live on air, explaining that she wanted to try new things following the "incredible" response to her new book.
