Loose Women hit with Ofcom complaints after panellist Katie Piper's comments

Loose Women has been battered with complaints through Ofcom as ITV viewers share their grievances with panellist Katie Piper's comments.

The broadcasting watchdog has been hit with 66 reports of complaint, reports the Mirror. These issues arose in response to the presenter's reaction to a photo of a "goth baby".

During a segment on the daytime television programme, the panellists - Kaye Adams, Katie Piper, Judi Love and Nadia Swahala - spoke about the issues surrounding parents imposing their lifestyle choices on their kids.

The debate arose after one mother transformed her home into a real life Addams Family location, following the release of Netflix's new show Wednesday. The debate has resulted in 66 Ofcom complaints.

After watching the clip, Katie could be heard gasping before saying: "I don't like that interior."

She continued with her issues on the decor: "It's all black and dark. Babies don't like that. I'm just going to put it out there it's giving me satanic vibes, it's giving me bad energy, it's toxic, I don't like it and also it's a baby.

"The cots are a tomb. You can't put your baby in a grave."

This comes after the Loose Women stars erupted into a bitter argument this week over whether mothers should work from home with toddlers.

Loose Women host Ruth Langsford welcomed viewers to the first show of the year, stating that she was joined by Carol McGiffin, Brenda Edwards, and Kelle Bryan. After discussing Prince Harry's upcoming bombshell ITV interview, the Loose Women went on to discuss childcare and the workplace.

One woman had sparked controversy online after she said she was planning on taking care of her toddler while working from home.

While Loose Women panellist Carol slammed the mum's decision to work from home and care for her child at the same time, Brenda revealed that she felt sympathy for the young mum who was trying her best to juggle parenting while working her day job.

As the two TV stars got into the discussion, things became more and more heated until Brenda felt forced to clap back at Carol. Brenda had assumed that her Loose Women co-star had made a dig at her parenting skills as she juggled her career alongside it.

Brenda argued: "I worked very successfully with my two children working alongside me and along with them. And if you monitor things - the work that has got to be done - then there's no other people that will have to take up any slack.

"Nobody had to take up the slack for me. I did my work and I took great pride in that."
