Loose Women fans baffled by Sir Cliff Richard's quirky get-up as he sips wine

Loose Women fans were left scratching their heads as they broke down Sir Cliff Richard's peculiar outfit.

The 80-year-old musical icon appeared on a video call for a chat with Andrea McLean, Brenda Edwards, Saira Khan and Gloria Hunniford.

But fans were distracted by his wardrobe choices as he sipped on wine.

Sir Cliff rocked a red, black and white chequered shirt, with a white tank top stretched over the top.

"Poor old Cliff putting his vest over his shirt," one observed.

"Did Cliff forget to put his vest on under his shirt and just thought f**k it?" another joked.

A third remarked: "Someone needs to tell Cliff Richard that his white semmit (vest) goes underneath his shirt. He looks ridiculous, especially with a poppy on it."

As he chatted with the panel, Sir Cliff enjoyed a glass of wine, insisting "a rosé keeps the virus away".

But he left fans crestfallen as he told that his days of stripping for his calendar are behind him, but shared that he's always felt "sensual" when performing to huge crowds.

In his new book The Dreamers, Sir Cliff writes: "I suspect I have done my final topless photo.

"I suspect it's time to gracefully exit the Chippendales market."

He adds: "When I did my last one, Chris Evans  said on the radio that it couldn't be my body – they must have superimposed my head onto somebody else! That made me laugh."

Meanwhile, the star recently gave a candid interview on Piers Morgan's Life Stories.

*Loose Women airs at 12:30pm on ITV on weekdays.
