Loose Women fans baffled as Linda Robson pays Sam Faiers odd back compliment

Linda Robson baffled Loose Women fans after she paid Sam Faiers a slightly unusual compliment.

Sam and her sister Billie Shepherd appeared on the show to talk about their upcoming season of The Mummy Diaries, as well as Billie's stint on Dancing On Ice.

After exchanging pleasantries with the TOWIE girls, 62-year-old panelist Linda reminisced about a time where she actually spotted Sam in a restaurant, reports Daily Star.

Speaking of the memory a couple of years back, she said: "I saw this girl and she had the most beautiful back - I've always wanted a nice back without all the back fat and everything - and it was you."

For a moment, there was an awkward silence among the rest of the panel of Charlene White, Coleen Nolan and Jane Moore.

And it was only when Sam said: "Me? No way?" that a picture of the mum wearing an open-back red jumpsuit popped up on the screen.

Birds of a Feather star Linda then added: "You have the most beautiful back."

Sam, who was clearly taken aback by the comment, glanced down before saying: "It doesn't look like that now."

Fans were baffled (ITV)

The remark seemed to confuse viewers of the show, who jokingly questioned whether it had been a compliment or not.

One said: "So all I got from Linda was 'You look beautiful from the back' Ha!"

Another wrote: "Razor-sharp input from Linda as usual: 'I once saw you in a restaurant from the back' Is that it? What was anyone supposed to say to that...? ugh."

"You've got a beautiful back?!" said a third baffled fan.

While a fourth penned: "Linda has me in hysterics every time. Was that supposed to be nice?"

In a bid to steer the conversation back to the interview, host Charlene then began to question Sam and Billie about the upcoming season of The Mummy Diaries.
