Loose Women call Royal Family 'petty' for not laying Prince Harry's Remembrance Day wreath

The Loose Women panel hit out at the Royal Family for reportedly refusing to lay a wreath in Prince Harry's name on Remembrance Day.

The palace denied the request because Harry is no longer a working royal, it's claimed, so Harry and Meghan Markle put flowers on war graves in Los Angeles instead.

Brenda Edwards and Kelle Bryan both said the royals should have allowed Harry's request, especially as he is a veteran with 10 years of service himself.

Kelle said: "I think this is a real shame when it's something is so meaningful as Remembrance Day and we know what it actually stands for.

"He may not be a working royal but he actually served, and this is something that is obviously very important to him."

"I think he should have been allowed to do so," she added.

Brenda agreed, saying: "He served for 10 years in the Armed Forces himself, it's supposed to be about remembrance but everybody seems to want to forget that he actually did that.

"What's happened to his £1,000 that he's spent? We're talking about money that's gone to waste somewhere.

"I just think it's very petty. It's sad, really sad."

The Duke of Sussex was said to have been "deeply saddened" after his request was refused, reports The Times.

The Queen was reportedly not made aware of her grandson's request.

Prince William attended the service, where he did lay a wreath of remembrance as the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge watched on.
