Loose Men praised by viewers as they call for spin-off to become weekly show

Loose Men was lavished with praise by viewers as they called for the spin-off to become a regular weekly episode.

Richard Madeley was joined by Jordan Banjo, Martin Kemp and Robert Rinder for today's panel as they discussed a number of difficult subjects, from suicide to bullying.

Giving his own account of bullying at school, Richard said that it "happened quite suddenly".

"I let it happen to me because I was ashamed that it was happened to me," he said. "I later went to a mixed school which was much less violent [and] I had time to evaluate what happened."

Richard explained that it had "started as a bit of banter", but said that it had helped him later on in his career as there are "plenty of bullies in journalism" and managed to stand up to them.

Meanwhile Martin admitted that he "hated the word banter as it's another word for bullying".

He went on to suggest that comedians often bantered with the audience, and that children took that home and turned it into bullying - but TV judge Robert didn't quite agree with that.

"We need to have a bit of fun," he pointed out.

Jordan also gave his opinion on bringing up his son Cassius, admitting he felt a huge responsibility in making sure he was doing it right.

"Whatever you do as a parent literally shapes someone's life," he said.

Fans flocked to Twitter to praise the episode, with one tweeting: "#LooseMen should be a weekly episode. It's totally necessary!"

While another commented: "#loosemen should be weekly. A Friday every week. A bit of a jazz up of the show #LooseWomen."

A third wrote: "I think #itv, should have #LooseMen on their weekday schedule. A bit more often. xx #TeamRinder #Rinderettes #LooseWomen."

"Yay #LooseMen Much better! This should be every week It's nice hearing men's point of view! #LooseWomen," another commented.

*Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV
