Loose Men hailed as 'refreshing' as fans call for weekly episodes with all-male panel

Viewers were thrilled to see an all-male panel take over Loose Women on Friday.

For International Men's Day, the show was rebranded as Loose Men and the usual panellists were replaced by Vernon Kay, Iain Stirling, Ore Oduba and Mike Tindall for the lunchtime show.

And fans have taken to social media to hail the show as "refreshing" and called for a weekly slot for a male panel.

"Have just really enjoyed watching #LooseMen . Refreshing to see four men speaking openly and honestly together. And not at all laddish," one wrote online as they praised the programme.

Another shared: " #LooseMen should definitely be a regular show, it was a great watch and great to hear men discussing male issues on tv for a change," with a third adding: "We need #LooseMen every week! I switched on just by chance today (as I don't usually watch Loose Woman) and found it so refreshing!"

One penned: "Can we start a petition to have #LooseMen on for a whole month?! So refreshing to hear guys opening up about mental health! Cracking job lads!" with another adding: "I'm loving the #LooseMen show. It's brilliant to get men talking!"

Fans were thrilled to see "four genuine men" leading the conversation.

Iain Stirling was one of the panellists (ITV)

A viewer shared: "Wow!!!! What an amazing #Loosemen today with @vernonkay @miketindall13 @OreOduba and @IainDoesJokes. It's so nice to see 4 genuine men open up about mental health and other topics.

"Please make this a regular fixture @loosewomen @ITV. Looking forward to the next one #LooseWomen."

Some fans felt having regular episodes of Loose Men would help other men open up about mental health.

They wrote: " @loosewomen so who else thinks #Loosemen should be a weekly thing? I really think it will catch on and the more #mentalhealth is discussed, especially in men, the more the stigma is broken down.

Vernon Kay read out the list of 'rules' from the Loose Women ladies (ITV)

"Education and narratives are important. #makeitaweeklything #InternationalMensDay."

During the show, the four panellists discussed mental health, whether men should have a lads' holiday before they become a father for the first time and renewing wedding vows.

The Loose Women ladies also left a list of rules for Vernon, Mike, Ore and Iain, which included no swearing, telling them to talk about any topic they wanted to but also joked that they'd be back on Monday so not to "get comfy".
