Controversial looksmaxxer Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, has shared an update after being hospitalised for a suspected overdose in Miami.
The social media personality was in the middle of a livestream on Kick when he seemingly fell unconscious in a shopping centre restaurant after slurring his words.
It was later confirmed he was taken to the emergency room for a suspected overdose, and he has now recounted the “brutal” hospital stint in a message on X.
“Just got home, that was brutal,” Clavicular wrote alongside an image of his bloodied face.
“All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution. The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask,” he added.
In a separate statement on another livestream, Clavicular said he was “just a little bit tired” after the hospitalisation and that it was “quite brutal” seeing the story “all over Twitter”.
Fellow influencer Androgenic, who was with Peters at the time of the incident, also addressed the situation on X, saying he’d never seen Clavicular “in this state before and he went from speaking to being fairly unresponsive in mere seconds”.
“Within a minute we all realised the situation, turned the stream off, picked him up and rushed him to the hospital,” he added.
The livestream was widely circulated on social media. It shows Clavicular appearing unwell as Androgenic offers him an Adderall before the person filming turns the camera away from him and the video cuts off.
Clavicular has been open about his use of drugs, including methamphetamine, to reduce his appetite for looksmaxxing, a trend in which people, particularly young men, maximise their physical attractiveness through extreme and ill-advised measures.
Looksmaxxing gained Clavicular his viral fame on TikTok, where he has close to one million followers.
Clavicular made headlines this week after he stormed out of a 60 Minutes Australia interview when asked about his relationship with controversial social media personality Andrew Tate.
