Looking For Alaska by John Green – review

Looking For Alaska is a novel about a boy who starts at the boarding school "Culver Creek". It is divided into two parts, Before and After. It chronicles the story of Miles 'Pudge' Halter, who is fascinated by the last words of famous people, and seeks what a dying Rabelais called "A Great Perhaps". He makes some new friends that have lives which are anything but safe and boring. At their core is the razor-sharp, sexy and self-destructive Alaska, who has perfected the arts of pranking and evading authority. Pudge falls impossibly in love until one day tragedy strikes the group, and he discovers the true value of living and loving unconditionally.

The book is so well written and hilarious but also heart-breaking at the same time. The characters are so interesting and well presented, it's almost like they're real. I would recommend this book to anybody who loves reading as it is excellent!
