Skills for Care, the home of the National Skills Academy for Social Care, is searching for exceptional graduates who are passionate about making a difference.

If you want a career where you can progress, feel secure, and get an enormous sense of personal achievement from knowing you are helping other people, then adult social care is for you.

The national graduate management training scheme is for graduates with excellent core values and a desire to help people. It doesn’t matter what subject you graduated in, as long as you have an interest in working in social care in a leadership or management position.

Subject to a recruitment process, we will match you with a social care provider interested in hosting a graduate. Your placement will begin in January 2016 and last for 12 months. There, you will be given the opportunity to work on strategic projects and participate in frontline experiences designed to develop you into a future leader in the social care sector.

This is complemented by a tailored training programme, and a fast-track induction to leadership and management skills specific to adult social care.

This is an excellent opportunity to kick start your career. As well as receiving an £18,000 bursary you will receive support from sector specialists and mentoring and training from those who know all there is to know about managing social care services.

This is a challenging and exciting time for adult social care in England. The ambition is for people to be able to live their own lives as they wish, confident that services are high quality, safe and promote their individual needs. If you think you’ve got what it takes to become a future leader in adult social care we want to hear from you.
