Looking for a bargain? Here's how you can purchase stolen goods without breaking the law

While we would never condone stealing, there is a genius way to purchase stolen goods at a bargain price and the whole process is entirely legal.

According to the Manchester Evening News , police forces across the UK sell items that they've taken from criminals; they also sell items that have been in lost property for too long.

However, you don't need to worry about where the money goes as all proceeds are reinvested in policing initiatives and is also used to help victims of violent crime.

You would be surprised at how many different items get put on sale; electronics have been sold in the past, as well as designer clothing and even bikes.

How does it work?

This unconventional method of shopping is surprisingly easy.

Police forces put items for sale on eBay as well as a website called Bumblebee auctions. People can either bid on an item or buy it outright; if you're lucky you might get an amazing price for the item.

It's also possible to source these items in auction houses. While it's a hassle to travel to an auction house, this tends to be where the 'big ticket' items, such as cars, are sold.
