United States President Donald Trump is probably not the biggest fan of CNN journalist and news anchor Kaitlan Collins. This is because in the last few months, since Trump became President, Collins has criticised him and his administration on multiple occasions. Not only that, she has also taken digs at his Republican friends, often calling them out for spreading conspiracy theories, lies, and hatred.
Recently, Trump expressed his disdain for Kaitlan Collins during an interaction that, although one-sided, communicated a lot without the need for words. Following a Democratic sweep in the recent elections across the United States, Republicans are understandably upset to see their strategies failing to resonate with Americans. In such a tense atmosphere, if asked about their opinions on the matter, they are likely to express anxiety and anger. And that is exactly what is happening.
For someone so active on social media (Truth Social to be precise), Donald Trump did not have much to say after the Democrats’ major wins on Tuesday and Wednesday. To find out his thoughts on the situation, Kaitlan Collins, during a recent press conference with Trump, asked him the question everyone was eager to know: whether his feelings were hurt. While noting that Trump seemed “very frustrated” with “last night’s elections,” Collins asked about the “takeaways” for those present.
Trump appeared visibly angry at the question, chose not to answer, and simply thanked her. Trump’s response to the question, or its lack thereof, drew a lot of attention on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), where people poked fun at Trump and his dismissive nature.

“Enough. He got humiliated last night — and the mask slipped instantly. Kaitlan Collins hits him with the most polite sniper shot in history: “You sound very frustrated by last night’s election.” And Trump goes: “Thank you very much.” Translation: Rage. Shame. Several others echoed similar sentiments in their criticism of Donald Trump.
