Looking at another 2020 NFL mock draft for who the Steelers missed on

Typically when a new mock draft comes out, we like to break down the pick or picks for the Pittsburgh Steelers. But unfortunately this year the Steelers don’t have a first-round pick. But this doesn’t stop us from taking a look at these one-round mock drafts to see who the Steelers miss out on because of the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade and theorize on the value of the move.

This time around we have a 2020 mock draft courtesy of Pro Football Focus. In this scenario, the Steelers first-round pick is the No. 8 overall selection now the property of the Miami Dolphins. With it, the Dolphins selected Iowa offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs. Not the pick the Steelers would make but let’s look at some of the other guys still on the board.

One pick later the Giants select Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown. He’s a massive run stuffer and would be an instant impact player for the Steelers defense.

Looking down the list we see several other players who could fill significant needs for the Steelers including wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and even quarterback Tua Tagovialoa.

But I want to pass the question off to you. Given the above scenario, do you view the Fitzpatrick trade as a win?
