A violent thug who was recently jailed for stabbing a man in the stomach will have to spend longer in prison after being convicted of assaulting his girlfriend.
Earlier this month, Curtis Regan, 24, was sentenced to four years imprisonment for his part in a 'brutal' attack on a man in his own home.
Regan - who had brought the serrated eight-inch knife and carried out the stabbing and the assault - was heard to say he had 'been dreaming of killing someone' during the two-hour ordeal in July 2020.
While on bail, in October 2021, Regan subjected his girlfriend to a number of assaults over the course of a few days.
The court heard that he threatened to kill her, at knife-point, on multiple occasions.
One time, he stabbed her in the palm of her hand and said: "Look what you've done now. Look what you've made me do."
Regan, of Mossfield Close, Bury, then told the victim to stop crying and hit her on the back of the neck with the knife, prosecution barrister Denise Fitzpatrick said.
On another occasion, he hit the woman across the legs with a metal barbell, before throwing a bowl of soup and a plant at her.
Regan also broke the victim's TV and bed, during the same period, the court was told.

All of the offences were committed in breach of an indefinite restraining order, imposed in 2014, after Regan was convicted of falsely imprisoning and assaulting the same victim - then aged 14.
The court heard that Regan had asked the victim to run away with him and took her to an abandoned house.
Over the course of several days, he burned her with cigarettes, hit her with weapons, and urinated on her clothes.
In a victim personal statement, the woman said she had been 'involved' with Regan 'as long as she could remember'.
She said that in that time he had 'repeatedly been abusive' and that he 'controls everything she does'.
Regan pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, criminal damage and breach of a restraining order.
Defending, Robert Kearney said: "There is no excuse, nor does Mr Regan seek to excuse his quite atrocious behaviour over those days.
"These are two people who met when they were very young.
"During the trial that he was sentenced for [the victim] was here with him.
"On two attempts prior to that trial there'd been two attempts from [the victim] to have the restraining order removed."
The Honorary Recorder of Bolton, Judge Martin Walsh sentenced Regan to 18 months imprisonment.
The sentence will run prior to the four year term imposed last month.
Regan will serve half of the 18-month sentence and then at least two thirds of his four year sentence before being considered for parole.
Upon his release, Regan will then have to spend an extra year on extended licence after being deemed a 'dangerous' offender.
