Monkseaton high school dramatically improved its GCSE results by starting at 10am not 9am (Report, 9 October). Like most university students, I was no fan of 9am lectures. Who will abolish them?

• Regarding the advertisement for Coca-Cola, “More choice, less calories” (9 October): surely a company with Coca-Cola’s resources should be able to compose a four-word ad without any grammatical error?
