Look: Troy football trolls Nick Saban, Alabama on Twitter

The Alabama Crimson Tide have made a few headlines this week, but not for the dominating wins on the field, like you would expect.

On Monday, athletic director Greg Byrne drew a lot of buzz for his comments on kickoff times. The Tide received a 12:00 pm kick against Southern Miss next Saturday, which is at 11:00 am in central time.

Byrne was displeased with the move, given the fact LSU is playing a night game that day against a lesser opponent as well and Alabama rarely receives evening games.

In addition, head coach Nick Saban complained last Saturday that the reason for the Tide’s dull out-of-conference schedule is a result of no one wanting to play Alabama.

While this certainly may be true in some aspects, the Troy Trojans made it clear on Wednesday that they want ‘Bama.

The Tide have not played an in-state opponent other than Auburn since the 1940’s. Perhaps this is out of fear of an upset, since the Trojans recently beat LSU in 2017 and Nebraska in 2018.

Regardless, we love the slight jab at Alabama and would love to see the two teams schedule a game in the near future.
