'Look the business' - Nottingham Forest fans give transfer window verdict after big win

Nottingham Forest fans were delighted with their team’s performance as the Reds toppled Wycombe Wanderers 3-0.

Chris Hughton’s side made it back-to-back wins and claimed an important three points as they beat the rock-bottom Chairboys.

Glenn Murray netted a brace on his full debut for Forest, scoring in each half, including from the penalty spot.

GARIBALDI RED: What kind of side do you want Nottingham Forest to be?

And Anthony Knockaert rounded off a good afternoon by putting the seal on a thumping victory.

That made it one defeat in 10 league games for the Reds and lifted them to 18th in the Championship table.

Here’s what supporters have been saying on social media about today’s result, with many happy to see the club's January transfer business bearing fruit.

Murray opened his account for the club in wonderful fashion when he raced clean through to produce an outstanding lob over Ryan Allsop.

But after Forest had taken the lead, they were put on the back foot by Gareth Ainsworth’s side, with Uche Ikpeazu proving a real nuisance.

The forward thought he had scored an equaliser when he headed in Fred Onyedinma’s cross, only for his celebrations to be cut short by an offside flag.

Aside from that scare, however, Forest defended resolutely, with Joe Worrall and Tobias Figueiredo forming an imposing duo in the heart of the defence.

The Reds needed a second goal to kill the game off and it duly arrived 10 minutes into the second half when Murray did brilliantly to get in between Jack Grimmer and Josh Knight.

He ended up being clipped, which left referee James Linington no choice but to point to the spot - and Murray took care of the rest as his penalty crept in despite the best attempts of Allsop to keep it out.

Knockaert then wrapped the game up with a stunning finish after being superbly picked out by substitute Joe Lolley in what was a beautifully crafted goal.
