Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes wasn’t the only member of the Mahomes household taking in the Kansas City Royals’ opening day win over the Texas Rangers.
New mom Brittany Matthews was also there, along with the couples’ infant daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes. It was Sterling’s first baseball game with mom and dad, with many more to come in the future. Matthews took to her Instagram page to share two heartwarming pictures of her family. These were actually the first family photos that the couple has publicly shared that include their month-old baby girl.

Baseball is a very important sport in the Mahomes household. Patrick bought into the Royals’ ownership group back in July of 2020. Pat Mahomes Sr. played 11 seasons in the MLB for a number of teams including the Minnesota Twins, New York Mets and Texas Rangers.
The Royals didn’t disappoint on opening day, notching a 14-10 win over the Rangers, giving Kansas City their first win of the season and an early lead in the American League Central standings. Some people even went so far as to suggest on social media that Mahomes and his family were the good luck charm on opening day.
