Look: Paul Richardson Jr. honors the late Nipsey Hussle with his cleats vs. Dallas

A new trend has taken over the NFL in recent years where fancy footwear is now on display on the gridiron. Ahead of games now, athletes — mainly receivers — have taken to getting a pair of cleats airbrushed with some sort of design representing something close to them.

For Washington Redskins receiver Paul Richardson, it was honoring the late, great Nipsey Hussle that took precedent on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Hussle was murdered earlier this year near his home in Los Angeles.

It wasn’t the first time that Richardson has worn his late friend on his feet. In April of this year, he showed Twitter the new treads he had made in honor of Hussle.

The memorial must have acted as extra motivation, as Richardson finished the game with three receptions and a touchdown in the Redskins loss to the Cowboys.
