Look: New photo of Rams stadium shows progress on roof, canopy

All the focus and attention is on the upcoming 2019 season for the Los Angeles Rams, but 2020 will be a big year for the franchise. In addition to redesigned uniforms, the Rams will open the doors to their spectacular new stadium in Inglewood – which they’ll share with the Chargers.

It’s slated to be completed next summer in advance of the 2020 season. Compared to the Los Angeles Coliseum the Rams are currently playing in, the Inglewood stadium is going to be a monumental change for fans and the team.

As of early June, it was 70 percent completed and looking like the Rams logo. A recent photo shared by Kevin Kugler on Twitter shows the progress that’s been made on the swooping canopy, as well as the early stages of the see-through roof above the field.

There’s still a long way to go before the stadium officially opens, but incredible progress has been made – even in the last two months since the 70 percent completion mark.

Take a look at this photo from June, which was absent of any panels on the outer canopy and had nothing above the bowl for the roof.

In no time, fans will be packing that new stadium for Rams home games, as well as countless other big events.
