Oh, what could have been…
If you are still hurting from Michigan State’s tough loss to UCLA on Thursday night, then what happened late on Saturday only made things worse. The Spartans blew a 14-point lead against UCLA in their First Four matchup, and that loss now seems even more painful after the Bruins cruised past No. 6 seed BYU and No. 14 seed Abilene Christian upset No. 3 Texas in the first round on Saturday. Now, UCLA will play Abilene Christian on Monday as relatively sizable favorites to make the Sweet 16.
Of course, we don’t truly know if the Spartans would have also beaten BYU or if they also wouldn’t be upset by Abilene Christian — but you can’t deny the road was somewhat paved for Michigan State to once again reach the Sweet 16.

I think the pain level is real … just keep turning the screwdriver. From being last In selection Sunday to bring in first four to losing in gut wrenching fashion to seeing how bad BYU was to Texas losing … what did we do to make us deserve this? 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️😂
