One of the benefits of signing with Klutch Sports, which Lonzo Ball did earlier this off-season, is the ability to take part in their fabled off-season scrimmages. Those scrimmages often feature some of the top players in the league, including LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
It was Klutch that was rumored to be holding secret scrimmages during the quarantine lockdown period and it’s Klutch that has gained a reputation for being a large family due to the closeness. Those workouts and scrimmages began for this off-season last weekend and featured Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball and Sixers guard Ben Simmons.
Included along with Simmons and Ball in the workout, at least via the photos from Klutch Sports Group’s Instagram, were Cleveland’s Darius Garland, prospect Tyrese Maxey, Phoenix’s Jalen Lecque and Houston’s Ben McLemore.
All jokes aside, there is a lot of value in playing and working out alongside talented players during the summer. Ball already spent some time earlier this summer working out with another Klutch client in Trae Young as the pair were worked out in sandhills in Malibu.
Ball staying healthy entering the postseason was a particularly crucial aspect for the UCLA product moving forward. On top of working out with Klutch clients, he’s also been in the gym working on his game, as he has shown on his Instagram.
