Lonzo Ball may still be days away from returning to the court and 5-on-5 action for the first time since his ankle injury last season, he hasn’t missed a beat in adding tattoos to his sleeves this off-season.
Last week in his first official photos in a Pelicans jersey, Ball’s new tattoos this summer of Malcolm X and Barack Obama were revealed. The photo also showed a blank area on his shoulder that looked primed for a new tattoo given his past.
Not shockingly, then, photos surfaced of Ball’s latest tattoo in that area with a tribute to another African-American pioneer, this one for Jackie Robinson. From the tattoo artist’s, Steve Butcher, Instagram.
Ball has been active in adding tattoos each of the last two off-seasons. As a rookie, Ball was fresh-faced without a visible tattoo on either arm. With this tattoo, both Ball’s right and left arms are covered nearly entirely in tattoos.
