Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald’s world travels are well documented. He added another destination to his travel portfolio as he was invited to the famous Royal Ascot, one of the most prestigious horse-racing events in England.
Here we see a video of him explaining why he is there, and we see an exquisitely cool hat.
He explains he was invited by Lynn Forester de Rothschild, known there as Lady de Rothschild.
He witnessed the family horse, Crystal Ocean, trained by the well known Michael Stoute, win the race.
Rothschild believes Fitz brought some good luck with him and he hoped that perhaps she might change her football allegiance to the Cardinals. No luck, though, as she is a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
With Fitzgerald off until training camp, we should expect to see more of the world traveler in the weeks to come.
