With Zion Williamson, Ja Morant and RJ Barrett all expected to be taken in the upcoming NBA Draft, the next generation of amateur basketball players will step into the spotlight this year. Among them will be LaMelo Ball, one of the most polarizing NBA prospects in the nation.
Ball won’t play collegiate basketball like most of his peers, but he’s still expected to be one of the most sought after players in the 2020 NBA Draft because of his ability to score at a high level and make plays. He also has a good size for the point guard position at 6’6″.
It’s for that reason the 17-year-old high school phenom will grace the cover of SLAM magazine’s “THE FUTURE” issue, which will be released in August. SLAM tweeted out a picture of the upcoming cover, as well as a link to the cover story, which is live on their website now.
