Arizona Cardinals fans know about the hype the team’s rookie quarterback Kyler Murray is getting. The excitement locally is real. However, that excitement is growing to a national level, especially with regards to fantasy football.
That hype was made manifest with Rotoworld’s Fantasy Football Draft Guide for this year.
Murray is on the cover.
It is the first time in the magazine’s history that a rookie is on their draft guide cover. The titular question is whether or not Murray can be a top-five fantasy quarterback.
Murray has big potential.
He will run an offense he already knows. That offense will move quickly, giving him more plays. Coach Kliff Kingsbury’s offenses, while at the college level, have always been prolific. They are pass-heavy. The league is set up for offense. He is a dual-threat quarterback.
His running ability means the potential for rushing touchdowns, which are a big bonus in fantasy football.
There is no way to know whether he will pay off for your fantasy team this year as a rookie. However, it is exciting to see the Cardinals getting so much attention for a promising player.
