Look: Jared Goff was out supporting Andrew Whitworth at PGA Tour pro-am

With a well-deserved break after a grueling 2018 season, players and coaches are spending their time off in a variety of ways. Many, like Todd Gurley, are going on vacation somewhere to relax. Others, like Andrew Whitworth, are hitting the golf course.

Whitworth participated in Wednesday’s Pro-Am at the Genesis Open at Riviera in Los Angeles. He was paired with Keenan Allen of the Chargers, playing a round with Davis Love III.

Jared Goff was out supporting his big left tackle at Riviera on Wednesday, but he wasn’t interested in playing in the Pro-Am himself.

He was asked why not, and his answer was simple: “I’m not any good.”

Whitworth said he tried to convince Goff to play in the event, but “he’s still a little nervous to get out there and play in front of people.

Goff spent the day cheering on Whitworth and chatting up Mark Wahlberg, who was also playing in the Pro-Am.

Goff shared this video on his Instagram story of Kelley James freestyling a verse about Whitworth on the tee box, and Goff himself got name-dropped.
