Look: Jalen Ramsey takes field as full participant in first Rams practice

Jalen Ramsey hasn’t practiced in three weeks due to a back injury that caused him to miss the Jaguars’ last three games, but two days after being traded to the Rams, he was back on the field with his new team.

After sitting out Wednesday’s session due to a fairly late arrival in Los Angeles, Ramsey practiced on Thursday – his first practice with the Rams. He was listed as a full participant on the injury report, which is a great sign for his progress as he recovers from the back injury that has kept him out.

Here he was going out to the field, getting ready for the day of work.

The Rams also shared this photo on Instagram of the new Rams cornerback wearing No. 20.

Sean McVay said the Rams hope Ramsey can play on Sunday against the Falcons, which will be a big boost to the defense with Julio Jones lining up on the other side. If Ramsey can’t play, it’ll be Darious Williams stepping in as the starter opposite Troy Hill.

Wade Phillips commended Ramsey for being a smart player Thursday, saying there won’t be much of a learning curve when it comes to adapting to the Rams’ system.
