New images show what homes in a huge new development in Stretford will look like.
Some 282 homes – a mixture of 191 apartments and 91 houses – are being built by Miller Homes on Talbot Road on a former gas meter factory site.

There will be 48 one-bedroom apartments; 143 two-bedroom apartments; four two-bedroom houses; 66 three-bedroom houses; and 21 four-bedroom built.
The Talbot Road plot has been vacant since the former Itron gas meter factory shut in 2016.

The development, known as Novus, will transform the formerly derelict space not far from Trafford town hall.
Miller Homes are not the only ones eyeing up Greater Manchester’s suburbs, including parts of Trafford, for investment.

Other developers have also started buying up properties with a view to turning them into desirable homes with good links to the city centre.
Urmston, Sale and Altrincham are all seeing new development as city centre living costs soar.

The suburbs are becoming a real draw for young professionals and families alike.
The Novus development was given planning permission by Trafford council in 2019.
Leanne Feeley, sales manager at Miller Homes North West, said: “We are proud to play our part in the regeneration of Manchester with a focus on Stretford. We see a really big potential in this area and love the sense of community.

"We’re glad we can turn an old run-down site into something that will really add value to the local area and create many happy homes.”
The sales centre and show home is now open by appointment only seven days a week, 10:30am until 5:30pm, on Renton Road, Stretford.
