Look inside new Bristol estate as 102 homes near completion

Work is entering the final stages at a Whitchurch development of 102 homes.

All properties at Bellway’s Bridles estate, off Staunton Lane, have been either sold or reserved, with 89 already occupied.

Building work is due to come to an end in July next year. Planning permission was granted back in June 2017.

The development has provided 41 affordable homes for local people and key workers as well as public open space, a children’s play area and allotments.

Bellway is also making financial contributions to local infrastructure, including £350,000 towards primary education.

The project has also helped secure the future of charity HorseWorld, which is continuing its equine rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming work next door at Keynes Farm.

Bellway South West sales manager Rachel Way said: “The Bridles has been a really special development and it’s great to see so many new residents now moved in and enjoying life in this lovely new community.

“We’re now entering the final phases of construction and are looking forward to completing on site in the summer, when the final buyers will move in.

“Although we’ve now sold all the new homes at The Bridles, we are also building more new homes in Bristol at our nearby Abbotscroft development in Hanham, where there’s a range of three and four-bedroom houses available."

The 77 homes at Abbotscroft are priced from £356,500 to £495,000.
