MANILA, Philippines – If anyone knows how to make an entrance, it's Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz – and she does exactly that in a new clip from the upcoming season of Insatiable.
In the clip, Gloria's character – wearing an immaculate white suit, big hair, and a deadly RBF – walks into a hotel lobby trailed by a nervous looking woman (her assistant?) and a pile of designer suitcases.
Whoever Gloria is playing, one thing's for sure - her character did not come to play.
Gloria announced in May that she would be guest starring on the show, posting a photo of her with actor Dallas Roberts.
Insatiable premiered on Netflix in August 2018. It follows the story of Patty Bladell (Debby Ryan), a teen who enters the pageant scene as she seeks revenge on the bullies who tormented her for being overweight.
In the lead up to its premiere, the show received backlash for allegedly fat shaming and portraying fat-phobic stereotypes, with an online petition even being started to cancel the show.
Despite the controversies, the show was renewed for a second season, which is set to premiere on Netlix on October 11. – Rappler.com
