A Detroit Lions fan is already calling it quits against the Kansas City Chiefs and the game is barely underway.
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has started off the 2019 season with his hair on fire. He’s looking like an improved version of himself from his 2018 MVP campaign, and well, fans in other fanbases have taken notice. As the Chiefs prepare to face the Lions at Ford Field, a Lions fan was spotted holding a unique sign. The sign holds no illusions about the Lions chances against Mahomes.
FOX 4 Kansas City reporter Harold R. Kuntz captured the fan holding her sign ahead of the game. Check it out:
“We’re ready to get MAH-OWNED,” the sign says.
This is a pretty honest assessment as Kuntz says in his tweet. Lions fans are calling for this fan to leave the stadium and turn in her fan card on her way out. Really she knows that their team doesn’t fair great chances against a quarterback with a 16-4 record in his career.
Mahomes mania seems to extend far beyond the reaches of Kansas City and even opposing fans aren’t confident in a home game against the star quarterback.
