Eric Weddle loves his ice cream. Probably not as much as he enjoys playing football, but the two do go hand-in-hand during the season. There’s even an ice cream clause in his contract.
Weddle has a ritual of devouring a heaping bowl of ice cream after each of his team’s wins. Call it a “victory sundae” or whatever you’d like, but Weddle will never skip out on his post-win treat.
That tradition has carried over to the Rams and after the team’s 30-27 win over the Panthers in Week 1, Weddle went all out with his ice cream choice. Take a look at his bowl, which includes just about every sugary treat you can think of.
Weddle suffered a concussion in the game after taking a knee to the side of the helmet. He was a bloody mess after the play and had to be carted off the field. He would not return.
While the game was going on, he shared a tweet saying he’s OK and “good as gold,” which was encouraging news. He was obviously feeling well enough to keep up his tradition of eating a huge bowl of ice cream and hopefully he’ll progress quickly in time for the Rams’ Week 2 matchup against the Saints.
