Look: Derwin James hooks up Chargers secondary with gifts

It’s not even Christmas yet and safety Derwin James is already buying presents for some of his teammates in Los Angeles.

James showed up on Thursday bearing gifts for the entire secondary.

So what did the All-Pro safety get for some of his fellow teammates. Customized electric scooters with their name and numbers on it.

Here’s a video showing some of the defensive backs after receiving their gifts.

James’ gift was a nice token of his appreciation to the defensive backs for holding down for the fort while he misses times as he recovers from a right foot injury.

James, who had a successful last month, has been in a boot and has been getting around in a scooter in the meantime.

The 23-year old safety spoke to the media today and said the plan remains for him to return at some point this season once he is healthy.

“For sure, that’s the goal. I’m just going to continue to work hard every day,” James said.
