LOOK. Curtis Samuel to get familiar jersey number back with Commanders.

Most Ohio State fans remember Curtis Samuel for his overtime-winning run against Michigan in 2016 where he ran into the endzone and celebrated with outstretched arms wearing the No. 4 on his chest. He was the most dangerous offensive weapon that year, and it translated into him being selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers.

He hasn’t had a spectacular NFL career but a solid one, with his best season coming in 2020 when he accounted for over 1,000 yards from scrimmage. He did all of his work in a Panthers uniform while wearing the No. 10. Samuel had to fill out a change of address form when he signed with the Washington Commanders in 2021, but he kept the same No. 10 to slip on.

Now, according to a Twitter graphic, it looks like the former Buckeye star is going back to the jersey number he wore in Columbus, back to the familiar No. 4.

So now, when you flip on your high-definition television or streaming device, it won’t be hard to spot Samuel if the Commanders are on. Simply look for the same jersey number you remember him from when he was wearing Scarlet and Gray.

The outstretched arms most likely will not accentuate the outfit this time around.
