LOOK: Images of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes plastered all over Times Square for Oakley’s NFL deal

Early Tuesday morning, Oakley announced a new deal with the NFL to become an official on-field partner and licensee.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes became the first-ever NFL player to sign an endorsement deal with Oakley back in March. Because of his partnership with Oakley, he’s quickly become the face of this new partnership.

Ahead of Tuesday morning’s announcement, Oakley took over Times Square with advertisements teasing their new deal with the NFL. Who was the player featured in those advertisements? It was none other than Mahomes, the NFL’s most exciting player and reigning league MVP. Take a look at the scene from New York:

Mahomes lined the many video boards in Times Square with images featuring his signature Oakley Prizm visor that is now available for players to use in the NFL. I count six video boards in this one picture where Mahomes is featured, and apparently there were more. Even Mahomes was a bit shocked and thankful for the opportunity to represent Oakley, his team and the NFL.

After his MVP season last year, it was pretty clear that Mahomes was going to be the new face of the NFL. However, to see images of Mahomes all over in one of the most iconic destinations in the United States is breathtaking. You almost have to pinch yourself in a constant state of reminder that this is the Chiefs QB and he’s here to stay for a long time.
