LOOK: Bears players channel their inner cowboys on trip to Denver

Outside of Halas Hall, the sky might seem like it’s falling as the Chicago Bears prepare for their Week 2 matchup against the Denver Broncos, but inside the team’s facility, the players are keeping loose and relaxed.

As they prepared to jet off to Denver, many players took part in a team dress-up. This road trip theme: Cowboys. After all, who else can tame a bucking bronco?

Players like Mitchell Trubisky, Eddy Pineiro and Akiem Hicks donned their cowboy hats and bolo ties ahead of their flight.

“I’ll tell you what,” Hicks said. “We’re about to head to Denver, take care of some business.”

The Bears need to take care of business on Sunday. An 0-2 start would spell disaster for the reigning NFC North champs.

Since 2007, only 12.2% of teams that lose their first two games of the NFL season go on to make the playoffs.
