Plans for a block of 30 new flats at a former industrial estate have been revealed.
The five-storey building would be located on land next to the Matalan store in Tonge Moor Road .
The one-bedroom self-contained flats would each accommodate two people, according to the planning application.
It said: “The proposed development is for a residential scheme comprising 30 apartments, providing a total of 30 dwellings.
“The design of the units provide a flexible use of space to suit various demographic groups.
“The site’s location allows for easy access to the local facilities and Bolton’s city centre.”
The site, which “slopes steeply” towards the River Tonge, is approximately one mile east of Bolton town centre.
There are no buildings nor any other additional structures on the site which is south of the Matalan car park.
There is also a recently built residential development north and east of the site.
A total of 20 parking spaces would be available for the 30 apartments.
Town hall planners are due to decide the outcome of the proposal by mid-May.
