Look around cricket legend Geoffrey Boycott's £2.85m Georgian mansion in Wetherby

The home of legendary cricketer Sir Geoffrey Boycott is on sale – and every inch of it looks like the home of a legend.

Boston Hall, Boston Spa, near Wetherby, is listed at £2,850,000.

The grade II-listed, early 19th century mansion, was bought by Sir Geoffrey and his wife Rachael in 2012 and lavishly restored to a home by 2013.

But the couple are selling up to be nearer their daughter in Cheshire.

You'll need the salary of an international cricket pro to afford it but it comes with plenty of space, flexibility and a spectacular, feng shui master approved interior.

The hall, split into four adjoining sections: the main house, the west wing, the cottage and the flat, features 11 bedrooms, plus a variety of spectacular reception rooms and an enormous high ceiling dining kitchen.

The four sections of the house, each with their own entrances, could be retained by the main owners or used for other family members, guests, or household staff.

Outside there is a large, immaculately kept terrace and gardens which include a putting green.

Croft Residential is marketing Boston Hall. The estate agent describes it as 'a landmark Georgian home offering huge versatility in one of Yorkshire’s most popular locations.'

Boston Hall even has its own green for practising your putting (Croft Residential)

The brochure adds: "The principal house is gorgeous in its presentation, original features, high ceilings and proportions.

"It is dominated by grand reception rooms and a fabulous living kitchen that has French doors which open out on to the south facing terrace and garden.

"The master bedroom is impressive to say the least, with the other principal bedrooms all being of good size."
