Look: Arkansas State HC Blake Anderson grateful for Georgia’s support

On Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs hosted Arkansas State and won the game running away by a score of 55-0. However, as is so often the case, this was so much more than just a game.

Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson’s wife Wendy recently passed away from breast cancer, prompting Georgia fans to come together to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness during the game Saturday. Even the Spike Squad was decked out in pink to honor Wendy.

After the game, Anderson took to Twitter to express his gratitude for Georgia and its fans for their incredible show of support.

It’s a humbling reminder that football is so much more than just a game.
