Lonzo Ball, Zion Williamson and Jaxson Hayes represent Pelicans at Saints game

The New Orleans Saints will kick off their season against the Houston Texans at 6:10 CT on Monday and when they do, the Pelicans will be in the house to watch — well, at least a few of them.

Lonzo Ball, Jaxson Hayes and Zion Williamson were seen at the Mercedes Benz-Superdome, dressed in black and gold to support the Saints in their home opener on Monday. All three of them are new to the city, and there’s no better way to introduce themselves to New Orleans sports fans than to go to a Saints game.

Considering the Pelicans and Saints are part of the same ownership group, it’s safe to assume they got a good deal on the tickets.

The trio of young Pelicans weren’t the only familiar faces at the game, though. Comedian Keegan-Michael Key met up with Williamson, Hayes and Ball for a quick chat on the field.

Key, a native of Detroit, Michigan, is a lifelong Lions fan, but he’s taken a liking to New Orleans since being named Orpheus’s monarch during Mardi Gras last year.

Let’s hope the Pelicans bring the Saints some much-needed luck going into the NFL regular season.
