Lonzo Ball told LaVar that Big Baller Brand is ‘demolished’

The past few months have not been kind to LaVar Ball’s attempts at building a business empire with Big Baller Brand. The company has seen its co-founder Alan Foster accused of a multimillion-dollar embezzlement scheme, and the Ball brothers have publicly distanced themselves from the brand.

Yet, despite everything pointing to the contrary, LaVar insists that Big Baller Brand is still alive. The company’s website has been down for months, its held a depressing clearance sale at a volleyball tournament and canceled its overseas camps.

Lonzo Ball, though, does not appear to be in denial about Big Baller Brand’s situation.

In a trailer for the upcoming season of the Facebook series, Ball in the Family, we see as Lonzo confronted a defiant LaVar over the “demolished” state of Big Baller Brand.

The exchange went like this:

Lonzo: The brand is demolished right now.

LaVar: That’s how you feel, the brand is demolished.

Lonzo: That’s how everybody feels.

LaVar: Who’s everybody?

Lonzo: The world.

LaVar: The brand is not demolished.

Lonzo: You got it, man.

While the show has been known to stage interactions for dramatic effect, there does seem to be real tension between LaVar and the Pelicans guard. At least that’s what the trailer is hoping to tease — along with drama in Lonzo’s romantic life.

The fifth season (!!!) of Ball in the Family is set to debut on Sunday.
