Lonzo Ball to be re-evaluated by Lakers on Thursday

The Lakers have been without Lonzo Ball for over a month. Despite an extended All-Star break, Ball has yet to return to the practice floor. But there’s hope that could change on Thursday.

Ball will reportedly be re-evaluated by the Lakers medical staff tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 28, according to Tania Ganguli of The Los Angeles Times.

Ball has been out for the Lakers since suffering a Grade 3 sprain on his left ankle on Jan. 19. Additionally, he has been held back in his return by a bone bruise. Since Ball’s injury, the Lakers have ranked 27th in the NBA in defensive rating.

Ball’s return would certainly alleviate some of the Lakers’ problems. However, they’ve also got to improve in other areas, like on the defensive glass, where they were dominated in their recent East coast road trip, 0-2.
