Lonzo Ball switches representation to Klutch Sports from Roc Nation

New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball had a disappointing end to his season, with the Pelicans posting an awful record in the NBA Bubble. And with a big offseason ahead of him, Ball is switching agents yet again, this time, aligning himself Rich Paul of Klutch Sports after a brief stint being represented with Roc Nation Sports, along with his two brothers, LaMelo and Liangelo.

Lonzo briefly switched to CAA before going to Roc Nation, but his choice to go on his own with Klutch Sports is a sign that he is taking more control of his career, according to ESPN’s Malika Andrews.

“I wanted to lead my career,” Ball told ESPN. “Picking my own representation — just solely as my decision — was step one in that process. For me, it was an easy call, and it was the right time to make that call.”

Even though Ball was traded in the blockbuster deal for Anthony Davis, he still left the Lakers and LeBron James, on good terms. While Lonzo is eligible to sign an extension this offseason, he is also only a year away from entering restricted free agency.
