Lonzo Ball says he’s open to signing shoe deal outside of Big Baller Brand

For the first time since distancing himself from the Big Baller Brand in March, Lonzo Ball expressed his unconditional support for his family’s brand on Monday. What he didn’t do, however, was give any clarity on his involvement with brand going forward. In fact, he only added more fuel to the fire.

During an interview with Real 92.3 LA on Monday, Ball said he would seriously consider signing a shoe deal with a competing brand.

Would you be open to another shoe endorsement with another company?

For sure. For sure.

While that might seem like a small comment made in passing by Ball, there’s reason to believe he would actually do it.

For starters, Ball hasn’t been seen wearing Big Baller Brand since he deleted every trace of the brand from his Instagram in March. On top of that, Ball posted a picture of him in a mockup Nike ad shortly after disassociating himself from the brand.

Considering Ball has yet to sign a shoe deal, it’s probably safe to say nothing is imminent, but offers could come pouring in if he has a breakout junior campaign with the New Orleans Pelicans. If that happens, don’t be surprised to see Ball leave his family brand.
