Lonzo Ball’s shooting form looks so much better

Lonzo Ball’s shooting form has been dissected, broken down and ripped apart ever since he’s come to the NBA, and there’s some good reason for that.

That unconventional move in which he brings the ball up to his left side, and then up to his shoulder before he launches led critics like Charles Barkley to say it was a humongous flaw that made him “half a player” because defenders could force him to his right side.

Yet we saw improvements last year with the Los Angeles Lakers even if Ball denied it. Then, after he was dealt to the New Orleans Pelicans, it looked like nothing changed.

But now there’s this footage from Tuesday and look at that!

Again, we have to take an NBA shooting videos in practice or in pick-up games with a large grain of salt. But that looks, to me, like he’s gotten rid of that move sliding the ball up his left side. It’s more centered for sure.

Let’s put it this way: If this is Ball’s new shot that he’ll use in games, it’s really good news for him and the Pels.
