Lonzo Ball misses fourth straight game with left hip flexor soreness

Lonzo Ball will once again be out for the Pelicans on Wednesday as they host the New York Knicks. Ball is still sidelined with left hip flexor soreness, an injury that forced him back out of the lineup after missing seven games with a right hip flexor strain.

Since March 21, Ball has played in just three games of a possible 14 games. In his absence in that span prior to Wednesday’s game, the Pelicans have gone 7-3.

Prior to Monday’s game against the Kings, New Orleans head coach Stan Van Gundy noted that Ball was improving but still not ready to return. That was reflected in his status heading into Wednesday’s game when he was considered doubtful after previously being ruled out a day in advance of each of the previous two games.
