As many people can get up to nine consecutive days off starting Saturday, a seasonal peak of about 62,000 outbound vacationers -- the highest-ever for the year-end period -- were expected to depart from the airport in Chiba Prefecture on the day, according to Narita International Airport Corp. Popular destinations are Hawaii and resorts in Southeast Asia, as well as North America and Europe, the operator said.
