Long TD to start second quarter gives Packers early lead vs. Jaguars

The Green Bay Packers looked flat early in the cold at Lambeau Field, but a long touchdown pass provided a much-needed spark against the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.

On the first play of the second quarter, quarterback Aaron Rodgers hit receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a 78-yard touchdown, giving the Packers a 7-3 lead.

The play represented the longest touchdown pass of the season for the Packers.

Valdes-Scantling now has a touchdown on each of his last three catches, including a 53-yarder against the San Francisco 49ers last week.

A third-down conversion by Davante Adams extended the drive. Valdes-Scantling finished it by running past Jaguars cornerback Sidney Jones for the deep completion.
