'Long overdue' - Reaction from the dressing room as Nottingham Forest end wretched run

After seven games, Nottingham Forest were able to celebrate a win on Tuesday night, as they beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0.

And a number of the Reds players took to social media as they delighted in bagging the three points.

Goalscorer Yuri Ribeiro enjoyed his moment, after netting his first for the club.

The Portuguese full-back posted a picture of himself celebrating finding the back of the net and wrote: “Goal, 3 points and clean sheet.”

Teammate Cyrus Christie added: “Long overdue feeling. Congrats on your first goal @yuri_ribeiro95.”

Winger Alex Mighten, who made his first start under Chris Hughton against the Owls, said: “One for the fans. Back to winning ways! Let’s take this into the next game.”

Fellow teenager Loic Mbe Soh was also involved for the first time since Hughton took charge, lining up alongside Joe Worrall in the heart of the defence.

He wrote: “Great victory with a good performance of the team, focused on the next game.”

Midfielder Cafu had put in an impressive performance, being central to the Reds’ success, and he said: “What a night at City Ground. We miss our fans.”

Ribeiro had set the hosts on their way to victory at the City Ground, when he struck with four minutes on the clock.

And Lewis Grabban clinched the three points three minutes from time, coming off the bench to net his first goal of the season on his comeback from injury.

It ended a seven-match winless streak for the Reds, as a wretched run of form came to an end.
